The Tamiya 26541 captures the U.S. M8 Light Armoured Car, commonly referred to as the "Greyhound." Manufactured by Ford starting in 1942, the M8 was used for scouting missions during World War II and was noted by Allied crews for its mobility despite light protection.
This 1/48 display model shows the M8's typical fittings including the open-top turret, the 37mm gun, the coaxial M1919A4 machine gun and the M2 heavy machine gun for anti-aircraft defence. It is presented with period markings and applied weathering to convey battlefield wear observed in European operations.
