The Tamiya 1/700 scale Musashi model provides a faithful small-scale representation of the WWII battleship. The subject, named after Musashi Province, was one of the largest capital ships of its time and is reproduced here with attention to hull and superstructure detail.
Built from 1938 to 1941 and entering service in 1942, Musashi served under Admirals Isoroku Yamamoto and Mineichi Koga and was active through 1943 in operations that included responses to air attacks. This model reflects the ship's profile and historical presence.
Tamiya supplies detailed exterior mouldings, multiple gun options and fittings such as cranes and lifeboats. The kit also contains unassembled float planes, flags and a metal piece used for flotation realism. A colour instruction guide and waterslide decals are included to assist assembly and painting.
