The Tamiya 1/700 Japanese Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku kit captures the look of a notable Shokaku-class vessel with accurate late-war modifications. Model builders can recreate the carrier's appearance during key naval engagements by following the kit components and instructions.
Zuikaku entered service in September 1941 and became known for its operational speed and sizeable air complement, later receiving extra anti-aircraft weapons. This kit shows the ship as it appeared near the end of World War II and includes representative aircraft such as Mitsubishi A6M5 fighters and Yokosuka D4Y bombers.
Moulded plastic parts in grey, black and red provide a realistic palette for painting, while the large flight deck and detailed superstructure make the model attractive on display. Included aircraft, lifeboats and various armaments complete the assembly for a full-scale presentation.
