History and service of the Kubelwagen Type 82

Originally drawn up by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche in 1936 under the "People's Car" programme, the Kubelwagen Type 82 was repurposed for military service as war loomed. Military specifications set in 1938 led to a design prized for its lightweight monocoque, reliable engine and strong suspension, enabling use from arid regions to snowy terrain. Production totalled near 51,000 by the war's close.

The kit captures the Kubelwagen's short rear fenders and includes a detailed cabin. It supplies four decal options, three showing Luftwaffe markings, and two standing figures to complement display scenes and add human scale.
