The Cromwell Mk.IV cruiser tank combined speed with decent firepower during World War II, using a 75mm Q.F. Mk.V/VA gun to engage medium enemy armour. It featured in the Normandy campaign and subsequent operations across northwest Europe.
Tamiya's 1/48 model faithfully renders the Cromwell silhouette, from turret rivets to the vertical hull sides. The prominent road wheels are reproduced to reflect the vehicle's higher mobility design, and several exterior fittings are provided as separate components for accurate finishing.
The die-cast chassis gives the completed model a reassuring weight, improving balance for shelf display. Track sections are engineered to convey natural sag, and the kit ships with an optional rear cowling plus three marking variants for realistic builds.
