The Tamiya 1/35 Russian T-62A Tank model kit lets builders study an important Cold War armoured design. First publicly shown at the 1965 Soviet victory parade, the T-62A was designed to meet new challenges posed by Western armour. This kit reproduces the tanks main form and key external features.
Several T-62A examples were captured in the October War of 1973, which provided important reference material for historians and modellers. The kit reflects many of the elements that became visible from those captured vehicles.
From Tamiya, this kit contains dark green plastic sprues with finely detailed outer panels and fully modelled tracks. The package includes assorted accessory parts, one unassembled crew figure, an accurate 115mm main gun assembly, additional machine gun fittings, turret hatches that can be shown open, and cylindrical rear fuel tanks. It is suitable for display builds and for learning assembly techniques.
