The Tiger II, widely known as the King Tiger, is a late WWII heavy tank noted for its heavy frontal armour and long 88mm gun. Conceived to face Soviet armour, its limited production began at Henschel in August 1944.
Powered by the Maybach HL230 P30 V-12 producing roughly 700 horsepower, the vehicle carried significant mass in its turret with around 185mm frontal thickness. These elements translate into strong visual interest when modelled at 1/35 scale.
This Tamiya kit provides precisely moulded parts in light brown and black, an accurately proportioned 88mm barrel, and flexible track sections. A commander figure, waterslide decal sheet and vinyl air intake netting are included to boost realism. Builders should supply their own paints and glue.
