The Tamiya 35211 1/35 kit recreates the JS-3 Stalin Russian Heavy Tank as a detailed display model. This design stunned onlookers at the Berlin victory parade on September 7, 1945, and is recognised for its cast rounded turret and sloped bow armour.
As a follow-on to the JS-2, the JS-3 carried a 122mm L/43 gun and ran on a roughly 520 horsepower diesel engine, reaching up to about 40 km/h. Its wartime combat record in Europe is limited, but it likely saw action in Manchuria against Japanese forces in August 1945. The tank's layout helped shape later armour development.
The kit contains over 210 parts moulded in dark green plastic and is designed for a static display finish. Builders will find separate suspension arms for correct track alignment, single-piece rubber tracks to speed up fitting, and options for open or closed turret hatches. A driver/commander figure adds display options.
