The Tamiya 1/35 German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.222 remains a popular subject since its first issue in 1975. This updated North African release adds finer components and figures to lift display and modelling potential.

Vehicle background and kit contents

The Sd.Kfz.222 was a light scout car used for reconnaissance, valued for speed and range in desert operations. Tamiya's kit reflects its service role and gives modellers the parts to build an authentic subject.

This re-release includes photo-etched parts for crisp detail, an aluminium gun barrel for sharper definition, and crew figures including a commander and a radio operator. A DKW NZ350 motorcycle plus rider are supplied to expand diorama options.
