Tamiya 1/35 British Lt Utility Car 10HP #35308  [35308]

British forces used passenger car chassis, during WWII, once the foundation for pick-up design military cars. Formally defined as a "Light energy Car" soldiers called them affectionately by the nickname "Tilly". The car had been designed with a 30hp engine and back wheel-drive. However, the automobile didn't have enough off road abilities and had been soon changed by 4WD automobiles. Thus, the "Tilly" ended up being used in airbases for liaisons as well as in other paved areas. The car served in Dunkirk evacuation, North African and Italian fronts, and Europe through the Normandy invasion on.
