The Tamiya 36213 1/16 M551 Sheridan captures the design of a distinctive US light tank. Developed in 1959, the Sheridan saw deployment in Vietnam and Gulf operations, offering air-transportable mobility for armoured forces.
This static kit borrows parts from Tamiya's R/C range to produce crisp surface detail suited to display. Finished dimensions are 408mm in length, 177mm in width, and 186mm in height including the gun shield. Notable inclusions are a precision aluminium gun barrel and metal lower hull sections and drive sprockets.
The model includes pre-assembled plastic track segments and soft resin representations of rubber pads for an authentic look. Photo-etched fittings enable builders to recreate anti-RPG netting and other fine elements for accurate period styling.
