The Tamiya 37019 kit recreates the German Sd.Kfz.234/1 in 1/35 scale, highlighting its eight-wheel drive and open-topped turret with a lighter 2cm weapon. This edition stems from a Tamiya-Italeri collaboration and brings a number of detail upgrades over the base Italeri tooling.

Revised moulding addresses earlier omissions and the addition of photo-etched parts sharpens detail on items like the jerry can rack and gun sights. Assembly has been organised to ease placement of smaller components, and the boxed set includes three figures and a motorcycle to broaden modelling options.
