A Long Ranger

Growth of the M107 self-propelled tool began in 1956; five years later in 1961 it had been officially procured by U.S. forces, as well as in 1965 it was tossed into action into the rapidly-escalating conflict in Vietnam. The long-caliber 175mm gun offered the M107 a then peerless range of 32km, therefore had been installed on a lightweight open-top hull to permit airlifting. A corner for the 5 man-crewed vehicle was fitted with a hydraulic spade. Among its more notable actions in the Vietnam War was through the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968, as U.S. troops took advantageous asset of its exceptional range to fire on North Vietnamese Army roles throughout the Demilitarized Zone in defense of this precarious position associated with Khe Sanh Overcome Base. Following the U.S. withdrawal and up before autumn of Saigon in 1975, M107s continued to fight in the possession of of Southern Vietnamese Army forces.

This model takes the 1988 Italeri classic style of the M107 and brings it into the modern age. The kit includes brand new and updated parts from the Italian maker, plus Tamiya figures, accessory parts, decals and guide, all packed in a fresh Tamiya package! The M107 tale starts having its development from 1956; our self-propelled weapon had a compact car base and elongated 175mm-caliber weapon barrel that provided it an extraordinary maximum selection of 32km.
