Track-Ready Design of the TRF418

The Tamiya 42270 - 1/10 TRF418 Chassis Kit offers a track-oriented carbon fibre chassis and a host of adjustable elements to help racers find the right balance. It benefits from development input from experienced TRF drivers to sharpen on-track behaviour.

Chassis Dynamics and Handling

Prepared for the 2014 IFMAR competition, this chassis was redesigned to improve dynamic response. The belt 4WD drivetrain helps maintain even power distribution while the fully independent double wishbone suspension and aluminium oil dampers support precise handling adjustments.

Engineering Improvements

Notable changes include new front and rear suspension arms for better kinematic control, a separate centre bulkhead to tune roll stiffness, and refined steering arms for a cleaner steering feel. A 20T pinion is supplied to limit speed bleed when off-throttle.
