Front End Carbon Upgrade for TRF101 Chassis

The Tamiya 42286 Carbon Fiber Front Suspension Set is intended to refine the front behaviour of the TRF101 platform. It mixes cut carbon elements with metal mounting parts to reduce unwanted flex and help drivers dial in sharper handling.

Engineered 2.5mm Carbon Elements

The kit supplies 2.5mm upper and lower carbon fiber arms, engineered to deliver a stable balance of stiffness and controlled give. The matching lower arm geometry promotes even handling across left and right turns.

Aluminium Mounts for Durable Support

Supplied aluminium suspension mounts and servo mounts add rigidity to critical joints, keeping suspension points secure during hard laps and routine setup changes.

Specifications

  • Upper Arm Thickness: 2.5mm Carbon Fiber
  • Lower Arm Thickness: 2.5mm Carbon Fiber
  • Mount Materials: Aluminum
  • Compatibility: TRF101, TRF101W (requires additional parts for TRF101W)
It will fit the TRF101W but you must fit two 3x55mm turnbuckle shafts (2pcs) separately to achieve the narrow setup commonly used on that variant.
Aluminium adds targeted mass at mounting points but increases durability and keeps alignment stable under load, which typically improves lap times more than a small weight penalty would harm them.
After installation, verify toe and camber at ride height, check for binding through full steering travel, and confirm all fasteners are torqued to spec to avoid mid-run movement.
