Nitro Performance with Chassis Balance

If you want authentic nitro sound and go-anywhere capability, the Tamiya 43521 Nitro Blaster brings strong engine performance paired with a well-engineered chassis. This 1/10 off-road buggy is built for spirited laps and backyard bashing alike.

Powertrain and Structural Design

The FR-15S 2.5cc engine uses a large slide-valve carburetor and a rear exhaust arrangement to deliver clear throttle response. The NDF-01 chassis supports the engine on an aluminum die-cast mount integrated into a resin lower deck to help with heat control and keeping weight low.

Suspension, Protection and Control

Ride stability comes from the independent double wishbone suspension and the Frontal Impact Control System (FICS) that shields frontal components. Camber and toe adjustments allow setup changes for different tracks, and the H.A. Muth trigger transmitter provides steady, predictable inputs.

Built to Last on the Track

Wear-reducing extra-large ball bearings are used throughout the driveline to increase life and reduce friction. The chassis underside is smoothed to limit drag and promote consistent skid behaviour, making the buggy dependable under race conditions.

Tamiya 43521 Nitro Blaster suits drivers seeking a durable nitro buggy platform that can be tuned for both club racing and weekend trail use.

Use tyres with pronounced lugs and a softer compound; run slightly lower tyre pressure and tweak camber to increase ground contact on sand.
Basic hand tools, a glow plug wrench, fuel pump and a torque screwdriver for small fasteners are usually enough to keep the engine and chassis in good order.
The kit requires you to supply a compatible radio system and batteries; the H.A. Muth trigger-style transmitter design is the recommended control layout for fine throttle modulation.
Racers often fit aluminium uprights, stiffer shocks, a tuned pipe and reinforced driveshafts to boost response and durability under race stress.
