Authentic Racing Silhouette with Tunable Components

The Tamiya 44049 - ESSO Supra TG10-Mk.2SG brings period-correct race styling together with a tuneable chassis. Inspired by the Supra campaigned by Junichi Wakasaka and Akira Iida, the polycarbonate body keeps the scale look while allowing easy trimming and paint finishing.

Engine Package and Starting System

This model is powered by the 2.1cc FS-12SWG engine, produced in partnership with O.S. Engines, and includes a compact recoil starter to simplify engine fires. The 2-speed transmission is tuned for both launch acceleration and mid-top end speed control.

Fine Tuning Suspension and Dampers

The chassis uses a 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with ball joints at each arm for quick geometry changes. Fluorine-coated aluminum oil dampers help maintain consistent rebound and compression for confident cornering.

Yes, the chassis accepts contemporary 2-channel radios and compact servos. Plan mounting positions to keep weight balanced for best handling.
Use the ball joints and adjustable tie rods to dial in camber and toe; small incremental changes and test laps will help you find the best balance for grip and tyre wear.
Regularly check the air filter, glow plug, fuel lines and engine mountings. Keep the carburettor tuned and drain fuel after long storage.
The 75cc tank gives a reasonable run time for practice and short heats; for longer events plan fuel stops or check your race format against runtime.
