The Tamiya 48214 1/35 British Mk.IV Male WWI RC Tank offers a faithful representation of the early tank that helped shape armoured warfare. Production began around March 1917 with about 1,000 units made, and the Male version saw notable action during the Battle of Cambrai in November 1917.
This 1/35 scale kit measures 230mm long and 143mm wide, and includes finely modelled items such as an unhitching log with metal chain, a fuel tank box and tow rope. The radio gear comprises a TTU-10 transmitter and MC-07 receiver/motor control unit with built-in antennas. Two pre-built gearboxes paired with Type 130 motors deliver forward, reverse and turning capability, and the transmitter allows selection of four top speeds to suit display or casual running.
The kit includes three historical marking choices: Option A for Glamorgan of G Battalion in 1918, Option B for H45 Hyacinth of H Battalion near Ribecourt in November 1917, and Option C for Black Arrow II of B Battalion at Fontaine-Notre-Dame in November 1917, enabling accurate replication of period vehicles.
A solid choice for hobbyists who enjoy hands-on builds and authentic marking options, the Tamiya 48214 Mk.IV Male balances scale accuracy with practical radio control features.
