Designed for precise handling and drivetrain efficiency

The Tamiya 49225 - 1/10 TRF414M Chassis Kit builds on TRF experience to deliver a chassis aimed at precise handling and efficient power transfer. This limited run focuses on real-world setup options that racers can exploit to improve corner speed and consistency.

Core advantages for racers

  • Suspension Geometry Refinement: Geometry tweaks lower the centre of gravity and help the car hold its line through fast turns.
  • Durable, Low-mass Resin Parts: Resin uprights and arms trim weight while keeping the parts tough enough for repeated track use.
  • Adjustable Wheelbase Range: 5mm of adjustment allows fine tuning between stability and agility.
  • Smooth Drive Train Layout: Front and centre one-way elements combined with a rear ball diff enhance rotation and traction control.
  • Professional Finish: Anodised setting wheels and a serial TRF plate finish the kit with a race-ready look.

Specifications

  • Wheelbase: 260mm (variable)
  • Overall Width: 189mm (varies with wheels)
  • Chassis Weight: 780g
  • Included Tires: SOREX medium narrow
  • Included Gears: 112T, 120T, 128T 04 module gears, 40T pinion gear

The TRF414M is a solid platform for racers who prioritise setup flexibility and predictable handling across a variety of track surfaces.

For most club circuits a medium viscosity oil in the rear ball differential balances traction and rotation; adjust slightly higher for smoother surfaces.
Aluminium replacement arms exist for many TRF models if you need extra rigidity, but check fitment specifically for the 49225 - 1/10 TRF414M configuration.
Increase rear toe and soften rear roll characteristics to help the car rotate; reduce rear diff oil slightly to promote easier turn-in on low grip tracks.
