Tuned Drift Ready: Tamiya 49486 Nismo Coppermix Silvia

The Tamiya 49486 - 1/10 RC Nismo Coppermix Silvia TB-02 Drift Spec Chassis is built to offer a robust, tuneable base for drifting. It joins a lightweight Coppermix shell with the TB-02 chassis to create a car that responds well to set-up changes.

Shaft Drive and Chassis Balance

The shaft-driven 4WD system gives consistent power transfer front to rear, while the TB-02 bathtub frame and longitudinal motor layout help centralise mass for predictable slide behaviour and repeatable handling.

Adjustments for Grip and Drift Angle

C.V.A. Mini Shock dampers provide controlled rebound and compression, and the 5mm ball connectors with turnbuckle shafts make it straightforward to fine tune toe and camber to find the right drift angle.

Authentic Bodywork and Tyre Choice

The body is vacuum-formed from polycarbonate for a lightweight, resilient shell that accepts the included decal set. Black 5-spoke wheels fitted with Super Driftech Tires give a stable and durable contact patch for drifting practice.

Electrics and Light Control Options

Integral LEDs for headlights and taillights light up when the car is powered. For programmable lighting or extra control, the TLU-02 Light Control Unit (ITEM 53937) can be added. A Type 540 motor is supplied; a 2-channel R/C, servos, ESC and a 7.2V battery must be sourced separately.

The Tamiya 49486 - 1/10 RC Nismo Coppermix Silvia TB-02 Drift Spec Chassis makes a solid base for drivers looking to refine their drift setups. Its durability and adjustability suit regular track use and experimentation with different tune options.

Basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, hobby knife and thread-lock for metal screws will cover most of the build; a small wrench set helps for suspension tuning.
Rotate tyres regularly and keep track of wear; running on smoother surfaces and avoiding excessive burnouts will extend Driftech tyre life.
Yes, you can fit alternate wheels within the body clearance limits; changing offset will affect steering feel and should be tested progressively.
