Can I mix different spring rates front to rear?

Mixing rates is a tuning option to change handling balance, but start with symmetrical setups and only adjust one axle at a time to assess the effect.

Will these springs change ride height much?

Stiffer springs can raise effective ride height under load and reduce squat, while softer springs allow more travel and lower the chassis slightly when static.

Are any special tools required to change the springs?

Basic hand tools like a small driver for shock caps and needle-nose pliers for retaining clips are usually enough. Work carefully to avoid damaging seals when disassembling shocks.
