Track ready tuning for your F104 chassis

The Tamiya 54413 aluminium roll damper is intended to improve cornering control on F104 chassis models. It is compatible with the RM-01, F104X1, F104V.2 and F104W GP Edition, making it a useful addition when refining balance and stability.

Durable aluminium body with PTFE liner

Built around a PTFE low friction inner tube, the damper holds grease to control roll behaviour. This friction system avoids the air-bubble issues of oil dampers and gives consistent roll feel with simpler servicing.

Swap greases for precise roll feel between runs

Changing grease viscosity is an easy way to alter roll stiffness and balance during meetings. The Tamiya 54413 lets you adapt quickly to surface changes so you can keep filing off tenths on race day.

Specifications

  • Plastic Adjusters: 5mm x4
  • Master Roll Damper: Aluminum with high lubrication
  • Inner Tube: PTFE low friction, slotted for better grease retention
  • Threaded Screw: 3mm x1
  • Compatibility: RM-01, F104X1, F104V.2, F104W GP
Use a range of greases from light to heavy and record changes; start light for quicker roll and move to heavier greases to slow roll rate and increase stability.
Frequency depends on running hours and contamination; check after dusty or wet days and top up or replace grease when it looks dirty or performance drifts.
No special tools are typically needed beyond basic RC hand tools. The damper uses standard adjusters and a 3mm screw for mounting and adjustment.
It is listed for RM-01, F104X1, F104V.2 and F104W GP; other models may accept it with modifications but check fitment before installing.
Friction dampers give repeatable roll control with simpler maintenance and quicker setup changes, while oil dampers provide more complex damping curves at the cost of more care during assembly.
