The Tamiya 54625 CC-01 Chassis Lowering Kit is designed to give the CC-01 a sportier, lower stance. Reducing the chassis height helps lower the centre of gravity, producing firmer cornering and more predictable behaviour on smooth surfaces.

Included Items and Their Role

The kit includes the following parts to create a low on-road setup:

Low Height Tires: Four 73mm diameter tyres are supplied to reduce sidewall flex and improve roll control.
Plated Dish Wheels: Eye-catching dish wheels that suit a lowered street build.
20T Pinion Gear: Supplied 20T pinion swaps in for a 16T to push the gear ratio toward higher speed potential.
Damper Oil and Springs: Comes with 400 (yellow) damper oil and white springs so you can tune damping for bitumen or concrete surfaces.
Flanged Spacers: Four flanged spacers are included to set proper wheel offset and alignment.

Will lowering affect ground clearance for electronics?

Lowering reduces clearance, so check battery and ESC placement to avoid rubbing. Small changes to mounting position can prevent contact with the track surface.

Should I change my tyre compound with this kit?

The kit supplies 73mm low height tyres for a firmer profile. If you race on very smooth surfaces, trialling a different compound can improve grip but start with the stock tyres first.

Can I use the supplied springs on all tracks?

The white springs are a good baseline for paved surfaces. For rougher terrain or off-road, you will likely want taller springs or different damping for better travel.
