Control rebound on the TT-02 TYPE-S with steel stops

Tamiya supplies steel rebound stoppers to help drivers control rebound travel on the TT-02 TYPE-S chassis. These stoppers act as a mechanical limit that prevents the chassis from slamming into the ground during aggressive driving or big landings.

Installation and required upgrades

The Tamiya 54638 stoppers are made to fit the TT-02 TYPE-S suspension mounts. If your car retains the standard TT-02 mounts you will need to upgrade to TT-02 TYPE-S mounts (Item 54636 at the front and Item 54637 at the rear) before fitting these stoppers. A damper stay and compatible oil dampers, for example Item 42102, are also required for a correct setup.

Using steel rebound stoppers gives consistent end-of-travel feel and reduces component wear from repeated bottoming. That consistency helps when tuning for quick track laps or mixed-surface club events.
