Adjust Ackerman angles to match your TA07 driving style

The Tamiya 54949 Adjustable Ackerman Set lets you tweak steering geometry to suit different track demands. Swapping the aluminium components gives a straightforward way to change how your TA07 reacts into and through corners.

Included parts and chassis compatibility

The kit contains machined aluminium items including 8mm and 8.5mm pivot mounts plus an aluminium steering bridge. Use the 8mm mount for softer steering characteristics and switch to 8.5mm when you want a sharper steering response. The parts come in a blue anodised finish that complements most builds.

This upgrade fits the TA07 and is also compatible with TRF419 and TRF420 models, making it a useful option for many Tamiya touring car setups.

Switching to a sharper Ackerman setting can reduce understeer at corner entry by increasing inside wheel angle, improving rotation on tighter bends.
Yes, the parts are mechanical upgrades and work with standard touring car steering servos. Ensure your servo linkage is adjusted to match the new steering geometry for best results.
Spare parts depend on official availability. If you need individual pieces, check authorised parts suppliers or Tamiya spares listings for matching components.
After installation, test both pivot positions and note steering feel at low and high speed. Make small adjustments to toe and steering trim to balance the changes and achieve predictable handling.
