Tamiya 56371 Scania 770 S 8x4/4 Scale Truck for Builders
Designed for experienced builders, the Tamiya Scania 770 S 8x4/4 recreates the look and feel of the heavy-duty truck at a 1/14 scale. The production Scania 770 S, introduced in 2020, is fitted with a V8 turbo engine rated at 770 hp, and the model seeks to echo that rugged persona in miniature.
Precision Cab Reproduction
Tamiya's injection moulding captures fine features of the Scania cab, including the auxiliary machinery tower, fuel tank and air tank. Metal components across the chassis deliver solidity and faithfully reflect the twin front-axle steering and double rear-axle drive configuration.
Authentic Drive and Suspension Setup
The kit includes metal leaf springs and a working lift axle to reproduce genuine suspension movement. The 3-speed assembly transmission allows staged gear changes when controlled through a separately bought 4-channel transmitter for a more realistic driving session.
Optional Electronics for Enhanced Realism
Adding the MFC-03 Multi-Function Control Unit brings working lights, sound and vibration to the model. The detailed interior mouldings for the dashboard and seats complement these extras for a convincing cabin experience.
Finish and Custom Options
Included are a 1/14 driver figure, cab stickers and metal transfers enabling personal finishes. To complete the kit you will need a 4-channel radio, two servos, an ESC, a 7.2V battery with charger, plus Tamiya paints and finishing gear.
