Designed for off-road enjoyment, the Tamiya 56711 Tamtech-Gear Hotshot updates a classic layout on the GB-03 chassis. The first 4WD Tamtech-Gear entry delivers durable driveline design and a compact footprint that works well on rougher circuits.

Chassis Layout and Handling

The GB-03 chassis centres on a shaft-driven 4WD system to keep power flowing to all wheels, improving grip on uneven ground. Twin double wishbones and a front mono-shock provide solid control, while the universal shafts front and rear help reduce drivetrain lash during heavy use.

Durability, Power and Options

With a 370 size motor installed, the Hotshot typically achieves more than 30 minutes between charges under light to moderate use. A slipper clutch guards the gear train against sudden loads, and pinion differentials smooth wheel spin. There are many optional parts for strengthening and tuning the platform.
