The Golf GTI Cup is a single-make series operated by Volkswagen Group Japan that keeps competition close and liveries lively. Cars are prepared with race essentials like roll cages and 4-point harnesses, and the series runs over five events where both rookies and veterans compete.

The Tamiya 57778 sits on the TT-01 Type-E chassis and benefits from fiberglass-reinforced resin parts in critical areas such as damper stays and gear cases to increase longevity. Steering has been improved with TA05 posts for more direct feel, and the new upper deck boosts overall chassis stiffness. A mount for a transponder is provided for timed sessions.

Scale Looks and Fitment

The kit includes a 1.0mm SX4 WRC style polycarbonate body with moulded mirrors and a rear wing for a realistic silhouette. It comes equipped with the TEU-101BK ESC, a Type 540 motor and a 2-channel radio, plus front and rear LEDs for added realism. A 7.2V battery and charger are required but not included.
