According to the directions a Standard Servo is all that is needed for steering. A top Torque Servo is an improvement, but is not essential.
The Speed Control that comes with the kit reverses the rotation on one associated with the engines. It may do that because both associated with the engines
have actually Zero Degree Timing. This basically means that it can turn in either direction.
If brand new MOTORS are purchased the kit, one will have to be reverse (stock motor) or have adjustable timing (so you can reverse it)
Almost all the engines around don't have 0 Timing. They are either set up for forward or reverse. For this reason they are going to need
to get a motor which, or can be, setup for reverse.

they could still use the stock rate control with a reverse stock motor (it will be the same when they switched to an electronic rate control), nonetheless they will have to flip across the connections (- to + and + to -) to have it to run appropriate.
