Iconic GT-R styling in a buildable Tamiya kit

The Tamiya 58411 - 1/10 Nissan GT-R TT-01E brings the GT-R's distinctive profile to the model scene, reflecting a car that began as a 2001 concept and was shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Its 3,799cc twin-turbo DOHC V6 and strong lap performance on courses like the Nurburgring cemented its status among performance cars.

Durable TT-01E chassis features

This TT-01E version uses fiberglass-reinforced resin for key A and D parts to strengthen the layout and ease maintenance. TA05-style steering posts enhance directional control and the new upper deck adds chassis rigidity for more consistent behaviour. A transponder mount is included for timed laps.

Realistic fitment and upgrade potential

The lightweight polycarbonate body includes injection-moulded mirrors and a rear wing for scale accuracy, and the +2 offset wheels improve the car's stance. The package includes an ESC (TEU-101BK) and a Type 540 motor with LED-ready light cases. Required running items are a 2-channel R/C system, a 7.2V battery and a charger.

The Tamiya 58411 - 1/10 Nissan GT-R TT-01E is a versatile base for custom paint and modest performance upgrades, suitable for club runs and shelf display alike.

The included TEU-101BK ESC pairs with the Type 540 motor, and you can upgrade to brushless systems if you also update gearing and ensure battery and ESC compatibility.
Basic modelling tools, small screwdrivers, pliers, hobby knife and polycarbonate paints are sufficient; a soldering iron is useful for connecting electronics.
Start with neutral toe and moderate ride height, use medium compound tyres and adjust camber slightly negative for stable cornering while you learn handling limits.
Routine checks and cleaning are enough; the reinforced resin parts are tougher than standard plastic but should still be inspected after hard impacts.
