Proven Fighter-Series Off-Roader

The Tamiya 58416-60A Rising Fighter revives the fighter-series look in a 1/10 scale chassis built for outdoor use. Its 418mm length, 236mm width and 187mm height make it compact enough for tight tracks yet stable at speed.

Terrain-Ready Suspension

Independent front swing axles and a rolling rigid rear setup give the Rising Fighter the ability to tackle mixed surfaces. Large friction dampers reduce rebound and help maintain tyre contact, while the bevel differential smooths power delivery under load.

Chassis Designed to Last

The semi-monocoque construction reinforces the frame and simplifies access for maintenance. The fully enclosed gearbox is designed to keep grit out so drivetrain components last longer between services.

Powertrain and Running Gear

Factory-fitted grooved front tyres and rear spikes provide traction on loose dirt. The kit includes a 540 motor but does not include an ESC, giving you freedom to select electronics that match your driving style. A 7.2V battery, charger and a 2-channel radio are required to complete the build.

Solid and straightforward, the Rising Fighter is a great base for off-road play or modest competition. Its simple layout makes electronic upgrades and setup tweaks easy to perform.

It is best suited to fun runs and local club events; for serious racing you may want to upgrade shocks, tyres and electronics to remain competitive.
The kit is designed around a 7.2V pack. Use a quality NiMH or the recommended pack size for fit and balance, and ensure your ESC supports the chosen battery chemistry.
Keep the gearbox sealed and check grease levels after dusty runs. Replace worn gears promptly and avoid forcing the drivetrain through seized bearings.
Tamiya parts and upgrade components for fighter-series models are widely available, making repairs and upgrades straightforward.
