Chassis Overview: RM-01

The RM-01 layout favours easy construction and predictable dynamics. A 2.5mm FRP lower deck provides a solid platform and the resin gear case houses the supplied Type 380 motor, with an option to remove the motor plate for a 540 conversion if more torque is required.

Adjustable Pivot-Ball Rear Suspension

The PBLR system features a central pivot ball, pitch and roll dampers plus side links for detailed setup work. Adding roll springs to the side link pivots is a common tweak to increase cornering responsiveness on faster circuits.

Authentic Styling and Extras

Tamiya reproduced the Porsche 956 body in polycarbonate and included an accurate decal set for the Newman Joest livery along with a driver torso to complete a race-ready appearance.
