The McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II made its first flight in May 1958 and rapidly became a cornerstone aircraft in modern air forces. Its adaptability allowed it to fulfil roles from air superiority to reconnaissance and strike missions, with notable service during the Vietnam conflict.
In the 1960s and 1970s the Phantom saw extensive service in multiple theatres, proving its effectiveness through high speed, operational ceiling and long-range capability. These strengths helped it outperform many contemporaries of the era.
This 1/32 Tamiya kit presents crisp surface detail and realistic components. Supplied in light grey plastic, the parts support either the F-4C or F-4D assembly. Included are a full weapons assortment, sturdy die-cast landing gear and synthetic-rubber tyres for a convincing finished model.
