The Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero Model 21, commonly known as 'Zeke', was a dominant carrier fighter in the early years of the Second World War. Celebrated for its range and maneuverability, the Zero became synonymous with Japanese naval aviation. This 1/32 scale kit recreates the aircraft's key shapes and historical details for accurate modelling.
At 1/32 scale the model measures 283mm long with a 375mm wingspan and is produced using precision slide moulding to capture panel lines and surface texture. The Nakajima Sakae type 12 engine is modelled in detail, showing the propeller reduction assembly and exhaust components for a convincing engine bay.
The kit includes options for folded or extended wingtips as well as functioning landing gear, rudder and flaps to allow dynamic displays. Photo-etched seat belts and metal fittings for landing gear and the pitot tube add to the model's fidelity.
Display options are varied, with retractable gear and a display stand to suit static poses. The set contains both standing and seated pilot figures and seven decal marking sets representing aircraft linked to the Pearl Harbor attack, plus wheel chocks and access steps for detailed scenes.
