First showing up in the 1960's due to the fact U.S. Navy's very first all-weather carrier-based fighter aircraft had been the Grumman A-6 Intruder. The Intruder served at both Vietnam and Gulf wars and was retired in 1997. This is a 1/72 scale synthetic assembly model of the 1970 variant, the A-6E, which came with the newest high tech electronic devices of the period. You can benefit from the unique aspects of the A-6E, including the 2-man cockpit along with the big rounded nose area which housed a radar system inside. Besides, you are able to decide to construct the model having its wings folded up as seen on aircraft companies. The canopy and ladder can also be put together in either open or shut positions.
