The Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon was developed by General Dynamics as a single-engine fighter for the United States Air Force. Initially intended for daylight air superiority, the F-16 matured into a versatile, all-weather multirole aircraft. More than 4,500 units have been produced since 1976.
Tamiya brings that design to the 1/72 scale market with this F-16CJ Block 50 release. Following its larger counterparts, this kit keeps Tamiya's focus on crisp detailing and accurate shapes, delivering a realistic miniature that fits compact displays.
This model reproduces the F-16CJ Block 50's smooth aerodynamic profile and wing-fuselage fusion. It represents a post-2010 configuration with CCIP avionics updates and contains parts for AMRAAM missiles plus a bubble canopy produced by slide-moulding. The kit also offers three decal schemes for varied presentation.
