The Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VI Night Fighter represents a rewarding build for enthusiasts of WWII fighters. Converted from the Beaufort bomber lineage, this twin-engined type carried Airborne Interception radar which made it a capable night interceptor for the Royal Air Force, engaging enemy bombers during nocturnal raids.
Debuting around 1940, the Beaufighter featured a reinforced airframe and a modified tailplane to improve flight stability. Though later operations saw the Mosquito share some night roles, the Beaufighter retained a reputation for robust performance and combat effectiveness, making it a popular subject for scale builds.
