The Tamiya 70247 4-Track Crawler is a compact educational model that introduces track drive concepts to enthusiasts and students. Instead of four wheels, the machine uses three-sided crawlers to negotiate rough and uneven terrain more effectively.
This crawler measures 200mm long, 103mm wide and 100mm tall, weighing in at 266g. It is built around belt-type tracks driven by sprockets and supported by two road wheels to deliver positive traction. The front axle turns around the propeller shaft to aid movement over ruts and soft ground such as snow.
Assembly is straightforward with snap-fit components and screws, making the model approachable for novices and hobbyists. The unit is powered by a type 130 motor and takes two AA batteries (not included). The roll bar can be removed to fit Wild Mini 4WD Series bodies and the supplied tracks are compatible with link-type track upgrades (Item 70237).
