The Robocraft Mechanical Tiger is a small-scale walking model aimed at hobbyists and educators. Its four legs and visible mechanism make it both an instructive project and an attractive shelf model.
The shell is moulded in yellow semi-transparent ABS resin so internal parts are on show during operation. A fun cartoon face and sticker sheet for tiger stripes let builders add character to the finished toy.
A rotating motor transmits power through crank plates to drive the leg motion. Two gear ratio options combined with four stride settings produce eight speed combinations, and a reverse switch lets the tiger walk backwards.
With a mix of snap-lock components and screws the assembly stays accessible while delivering a robust finished model. Best run and display on even, smooth floors rather than on rough surfaces or soft carpets.
