Tamiya made 1/700 British Battleship King George V WWII (77525) Battleship/ Cruiser Navy Military Series assembly kit

The ship premiered on Feb 21, 1939 and completed for service on Oct 1,1940 through which time World War 2 had been fought for per year. After a visit to United States Of America, she covered the Lofoten raid (March 1941) and Atlantic convoys before becoming flagship of British Residence Fleet in April 1941. In-may 1941 she led the chase associated with German Bismarck and saw action the very first time. Through 1941-42 King George V participated in several search and escort operations within the Atlantic and in May 1943 she went along to the Mediterranean getting involved in all the big naval operations since the Allied intrusion of Sicily and Italy. After refitting in England she went East as flagship of the 2nd in demand of British Pacific Fleet. In Task Force 57 (later 37) she was area of the big Anglo-American naval force in the Okinawa operations and operations against Japan. In 1946 she became flagship of British Home Fleet yet again, the war now over, and in 1947-49 she served as an exercise ship before paying down in to the Reserve Fleet in 1950. She had been scrapped in 1957 alongside the woman sis vessels Howe, Anson, and Duke of York. A furthersister ship Prince of Wales had been sunk by Japanese forces in 1941.

During the woman service life King George V underwent small changes of armament. In 1940 she had four unrating rocket projectors for use against aircraft, but we were holding quickly eliminated. She later had pom pom armament doubled and several 20 mm Oerlikon weapons replaced the 0.5 inches machine guns.
