Tamiya made 1/350 JAPANESE AIRCRAFT CARRYING CRUISER MOGAMI (78021) Aircraft Carrier Navy Military Series assembly kit

The unique Japanese Navy Aircraft Carrying Cruiser Mogami had been built-in conformity using the London Naval Treaty following WWI. She was equipped with 15.5cm cannons (5x3) and was completed in July 1935. The 15.5cm cannons were later replaced with 3x20.3cm cannons changing the Mogami into a heavy cruiser. During WWII, the Mogami participated in numerous operations for instance the Malay landing operation, the Battle of Sunda Strait, and also the Battle of Midway. However, it was at Midway where in fact the Mogami suffered substantial damage and during repairs, a flight deck which could accommodate 11 floatplanes was fitted.
