It can be applied by brush or airbrush to styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood and common model plastics. The paint flows evenly and gives reliable coverage, which helps when creating matte effects or preparing a neutral base layer.

Airbrush Setup and Compatible Thinners

For uniform spray performance, thin the X-21 Flat Base before airbrushing. Use Tamiya thinners like 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to maintain a stable viscosity and avoid spitting or clogging when using fine nozzles.
