The Alfa Romeo MiTo arrived in 2008 as a compact three-door hatch that combined sporty styling with Italian flair. Conceived in Milan and assembled in Torino, the car attracted attention for its driving character and distinctive looks. Tamiya translates that spirit into the 84134 R/C model, reproducing the MiTo's shape and attitude at 1/10 scale.
The body is moulded from durable polycarbonate and captures the MiTo's shield grille and sculpted curves. Separate light cases add depth and realism, creating an attractive model for display or running. The detailing will satisfy both collectors and active hobbyists.
Under the shell the M-05 chassis offers a light, narrow platform that favours sharp handling. The front-wheel-drive layout provides stable cornering behavior, while the semi-monocoque resin frame secures the motor, gearbox and electronics for good balance and a low center of gravity.
The Tamiya 84134 ships assembled with a pre-installed R/C system and a wheel-trigger transmitter that includes removable grip and throttle covers for a customised feel. Battery pack and charger are supplied in Japan; buyers elsewhere will need to purchase these separately.
Whether for casual track sessions or display, the Tamiya 84134 Alfa Romeo MiTo brings a good balance of scale accuracy and driving enjoyment thanks to its detailed shell and competent M-05 platform.
