Will these affect ride height or damping?

No significant change to ride height or damping is expected when swapping the outer cylinder. Damping is controlled by the pistons, springs and oil; these parts simply replace the shock outer body.

Are there any fitment tricks for M-05 and M-06 chassis?

Ensure the collars are seated correctly and that the shock shafts move freely. Trim or adjust only if a non-standard shock length is fitted; otherwise they should be a direct swap.

Can I paint or decal these cylinders?

Painting will hide the transparency, so use decals or masked paint sparingly. If you need to disguise scratches, use thin paints designed for plastic and test on a spare part first.
