The Tamiya 84257 Avante 2011 Torque Splitter is engineered to lift the handling performance of Avante (2011) cars. Acting as a centre one-way, it aids quicker cornering while the robust ball differential increases drivetrain durability. Diff hardness is adjustable so you can dial in the balance between bite and rotation.

Contents and model fit

Included are the torque splitter unit and two tough ball differentials, plus metal hardware and a centre gear for locked operation. The upgrade is compatible with the Avante (2011) plus the 1/10 R/C 4WD Racing Truck Vajra for flexible use across Tamiya platforms.

Is special tooling required to fit the splitter?

Basic RC tools are sufficient for installation, though a small torque driver and diff shims will help with precise adjustment and assembly.
