Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue Finish for RC Shells

Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue is a spray paint made for colouring polycarbonate RC car bodies. The 100ml aerosol delivers enough paint to cover standard bodies while keeping the metallic tone even across panels.

How to Apply the Spray

Apply the paint to the inside of the polycarbonate body from about 30cm away, working in smooth passes. Wait for the first coat to dry fully before applying a second coat to prevent uneven texture. Use Tamiya bottle paints for small accents or multi colour designs.

Durability Notes

The paint is formulated to withstand oil and fuel contact, so it is suitable for use on gas-powered RC models. Proper application will help preserve the metallic appearance during regular use.

Will this stick to plastics other than polycarbonate?

This spray is formulated specifically for polycarbonate. It is not recommended for other plastics, metals, or fibreglass without proper primers and testing.

What is the recommended number of coats?

Two light coats is a common approach for full coverage. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second to avoid runs and achieve a smooth finish.
