The Tamiya 86042 - PS-42 Translucent Yellow aerosol is intended for painting polycarbonate RC car bodies, delivering a transparent yellow coat that keeps contours and decals visible. A single 100ml can will cover several light coats on a standard shell.

How to Apply for Best Coverage

Spray from about 30cm and use sweeping motions to avoid heavy spots. Apply the paint to the inside surface first and allow adequate drying time before applying a follow up coat. This technique helps preserve an even translucent layer.

Resistance and Compatibility Notes

The PS-42 formula offers resistance to oil and fuel, making it a solid option for nitro and petrol powered models. When applied correctly the finish resists common fluids encountered in regular RC use.

Do I need a base coat before using this paint?
