For modellers tackling nylon components, the Tamiya 87152 spray primer creates a strong base for paint. It is formulated to aid adhesion on challenging materials such as polypropylene and FRP, and the 100ml aerosol lets you apply a consistent undercoat to reduce lift and chipping.
Apply this primer to nylon and similar plastics to ensure a better bond for subsequent paint layers. It is not recommended for polyethylene. Using the correct primer lowers the risk of paint failure during use.
Prepare surfaces by removing dust and grease, shake the can thoroughly, and spray in short passes in a ventilated area. Wait until the primer is completely dry before painting.
