The AB41 served in various World War II roles thanks to its robust drive and steering arrangement. With four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and independent suspension it performed well in scouting and liaison duties. It is closely associated with North African operations and saw service under German command after Italy capitulated.
This 1/48 Tamiya kit reproduces the AB41s form at a compact 110mm length. The riveted hull is rendered by Italeri tooling and the gun turret with its 20mm gun comes with fine detail. A die-cast chassis lends a satisfying weight, and the rubber tyres replicate the larger desert-spec tread. The kit supplies decals for two North African variants, one Italian national marking and a Wehrmacht scheme.
