The Tamiya 89783 represents the Italian L6/40 at 1/35 scale, faithfully rendering the vehicle's profile and fittings. First developed by Fiat-Ansaldo in 1936 and mass-produced from 1941, the L6/40 saw action in North Africa, the Balkans and on the Russian front, fulfilling reconnaissance and light combat roles.
This limited edition set reproduces the riveted hull and includes parts such as the transmission assembly, driver seat, drive shaft and the turret 20mm gun. Builders can opt for open or closed positions on hull and turret hatches and add engine service doors for a more authentic presentation.
Assembly-type tracks are supplied along with photo-etched components for small fittings like hinges, exhaust covers and number plates. The kit offers five marking options to represent operations in North Africa, Russia and the Balkans plus a German service variant. Two Tamiya figures are included to complement the finished model.
